Got my redneck ass a deer!

Third year hunting white tail deer here in indiana, second week of bow season first weekend out for me. Afternoon hunt, sitting in my stand watching a rather large owl try to figure out what I was. Suddenly he looks off just behind me, off to my right, I looked an there it was walking and eating its way right to me. Heart thumping, I drew back, 20 yard shot no problem. Thwack! perfect shot right in the upper part of the lung just behind the left front leg. The deer drops 50 yards away. He was a "button" buck but I don't care it's my first deer kill with a bow, actually my first deer period.

My wife got a deer last year,
with her mini van......
& the fire dept. ate it~

It isn't just sport, there is the eating involved.

I had to fight a couple of year with people hunting turtles and manatees in some parts of the island. Had to leave that due to my job and family.....
